How SnowRise began.
Chapter 01 · The beginning
It started with a quiet breakdown.
Priscilla was a new mom in a city where she knew almost no one. Her partner worked late, her family was a flight away, and most days she went from sunrise to bedtime without a single adult conversation. She loved her daughter fiercely — and she was completely, quietly drowning.
One afternoon she sat on her living room floor and cried while her toddler napped on her lap. She didn't need a nanny. She didn't need an app. She needed a village.
Chapter 02 · The meeting
A playground bench. Two cold coffees.
Her partner was a single mom of two who had just moved across the country for work. She was burning through her savings on babysitters she barely trusted, and turning down job opportunities because she couldn't find backup care.
She and Priscilla met on a park bench while their kids covered each other in sand. They got to talking. Then to texting. Then to swapping Tuesday afternoons.

They started inviting other parents in their neighborhood. Within a year, twelve families were trading care, meals and sanity on a shared group chat that was rapidly becoming unmanageable.
Priscilla — an astute childminder — and her partner looked at each other one night over takeout and said it at the same time: we should build this for everyone.
